We had a ball again this evening at Piedmont Park and virtually everyone stuck around after the hike for the marvelous ASO concert!  The weather was even more perfect than it had been in the Park last Friday, with a big full moon rising in the east just before the sun went down.  We began with a nice "figure-8 loop hike around Clara Meer lake, then explored the public areas of the Botanical Garden.  Maestro Robert Spano and the orchestra did a bangup job with music from Bernstein's West Side Story and Candide, Gershwin's An American in Paris, John Williams' theme from Star Wars and other thrilling pieces.  Thanks to my fellow AOCers - friends both old and new - who made this such an unforgettable experience!
