I love it when things go well.  The weather forecast changed hourly right up to the time of the hike. As the group gathered, we heard the rumble of thunder. . . but on the urging of the trip leaders, everyone decided to chance it and do the hike.  in short order, the skies cleared and we had excellent weather for the entire 5 miles (which we did in 1 hour and 40 minutes, including water and photo breaks). It was decidedly brisk!  What an excellent group.  Everyone kept up with no complaints.  Even our new member, Michelle, kept up the pace (despite a rolled ankle).  There was one point on the lower lollipop loop that the water was too deep to pass . . .  so we just doubled back.  I know Eric P. would have gone right through the water (He did it last week), but Joyce opted for dry boots.  No one complained.  :-)
