The hike at Vickery went beautifully this evening.  We started right on time and took an interesting route past the bath house to the dam, up the steep, paved walkway and into the little residential area of unique homes .  We circled through the streets, entering the path that parallels Oxbo Rd. back into Vickery Creek via the bridge. Susan served as an excellent navigator, leading us on the path by the river and then through the long cross-trail back to the covered bridge.  We finished right at 8 pm, giving us plenty of time to drive the short distance to Swallow on the Hollow, a local restaurant featuring delicious Bar B'Que, macaroni and cheese, fried green tomatoes, and fabulous home-made pies.  (One piece of pie was actually an entire 1/4 of a pie! Six of us shared a delicious piece of coconut custard pie, but other choices included banana pudding pie, cherry pie, blackberry pie, and apple pie.) We welcomed Reid (aka Chris) into the club as a brand new member.
