We had a wonderful time together on this first-ever AOC hike on SC's Natural Bridge & Raven Rock trails followed by a leisurely Lake Keowee boat cruise and a sumptuous lakeside group dinner at the popular "Lighthouse" restaurant & cabana bar.  Our fun-filled day included a picnic lunch stop at craggy "Raven Rock" overlooking the lake and refreshing swims both in the lake and at a lovely waterfall.  Several of us also got a thrill by wading underneath the huge granite boulder along the trail that creates the "natural bridge" over Poe Creek.
Thanks to Bobby for doing a great job co-leading the trip and skippering our scenic cruise aboard my brother's pontoon boat. We hope to offer more "adventure + leisure" trips in the SC upcountry in the future.  - submitted by Charlie, Sun. Aug 4
