It was Catherine's birthday, and although she arrived late and had to catch up with us, we celebrated her special day with a wonderful little hike up and down the river at Island Ford.  The group was most helpful in pointing out mushrooms and other interesting photo subjects, and they were very patient in posing for several pictures.  We were very happy that Catherine chose to spend part of her birthday with us!
