Write Up:We magnificent seven had a wonderful day at Vogel State Park, topping off the
afternoon with a delicious meal at Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine. (No hot chili peppers for
this group!) We saw very few people on the loop of Bear Hair Trail, but the
campgrounds were full to overflowing. The day was perfect for waterboat paddling,
hiking, picnicking, and just lounging around. We extended our mountain hike with the
one-mile loop around the lake, spending a while at the breathtaking waterfall just off the
trail. We were happy to welcome two newbies to the club - - Jennie and Greg. I have a
hunch they'll be signing up for more hikes in the near future! - Joyce
