Write Up:We seven had a fine time together yesterday evening, and took advantage of the perfect fall weather to explore some seldom-hiked sections of the gorgeous trail network between Mason Mill and Medlock Parks. The leaves were nearing their brilliant fall peak, with lots of fiery red maples and golden-yellow hickorys, etc. The sky was beautiful at sunset and a few minutes later we enjoyed a nice view of brilliant Venus shining in the western sky.
It was fun getting to know brand-new member Alison Agnew on her first AOC event! These DeKalb County parks are convenient for Alison, Aaron, Jim and Eva since they all work for nearby Emory University or CDC. They also work out great for me as a hiking & stargazing venue since I live just a few minutes away. - Submitted by Charlie, Wed AM
