Write Up:A chilly morning turned out to be a nice sunny afternoon without a cloud in sight, perfect for a large group of 14 hikers on the Stone Mountain Cherokee Trail. We managed to cover 5.5 miles in 2 hours and 20 minutes, slightly faster than expected. We crossed a few streams and hopped several puddles but nothing can stop a group of determined adventurers from enjoying a nice day out.
At the end of the hike, six of us (Ramesh, Ken, Mark, Divya, Jeff, and Allan) did an additional mile up the Stone Mountain summit to take full advantage of a nice sunny day.

This was Ken's second co-lead as a PTL. He did a fine job, and will complete his three co-leads in two more days. He's on a fast track to become our newest Trip Leader! ~ Joyce
