It was pleasure to co lead with our new PTL Myra today, she did a great job of both sweeping and leading as well as nice write up" , here is her write up:

  "This hike saw a tremendous turnout due to the brisk, yet glorious weather, a welcome relief from the usual gloom of weather. The group began at the Amicalola visitor center and hiked up the East Ridge trail to the top of the falls, and then up the AT approach trail, until turning right towards the Hike Inn. The group became widely dispersed, as there seemed to differing opinions of the meaning of “moderate pace”. The group was all gathered together again at the Hike Inn, for hot chocolate and good fellowship. They then headed back down the Hike Inn trail and finished by descending the stairs next to  Amicalola Falls, which, on this fine winter day, were framed spectacularly with ice stalactites.  ".
