Tim and his 8 gals on the hike today.  We saw our first snake of the season as we started on the trail.  It was a HUGE snake too.  Some stepped over it as a mere earthwarm, but indeed it was a snake with some nice designs on the back and it was about a foot long with a 1/4 inch diameter.  The other wildlife included dogs, small kids with little tiny bikes.  They claimed they were on a race and the parents agreed that they were racing.  Despite the recent rain, the trails were dry and easy to manage.  The group vote was to "go left" and "take the lot" vs. going right and taking the bridge.  Thanks everyone for participating in the 10K today (6.2 mile hike).
