We're probably seeing the last of winter this week, and hopefully so as the trails are beginning to blossom with signs of spring - - trillium, fiddlerhead ferns, robins, and other flora and fauna.  Today's hike was a joy.  We took it at a moderate pace, enjoying the river and the scenery, and taking a path to some ruins I had never spotted before.  The group conversation was light and friendly, and we were all happy to welcome Penny, a brand new AOC member.  We have fitness hikes for working out;  I think we need a category called pleasure-hikes for clearing the mind and rejuvenating the spirit.  This hike would fall into the second category. ~ Joyce
