Big Trees Forest Preserve is indeed a hidden gem! Most of the hikers who joined us on the Vickery Creek hike stayed with us for this one, too. Hike 3 for the day was easy going and laid back as Joyce led us at a leisurely pace through this forest. We had plenty of time to take pictures and breathe in some fresh air. 

By this time the temperatures were in the 80s, but under forest cover we survived. We walked 1.5 miles during this hike and then proceeded to lunch at Tijuana Joes. 

We welcomed Suhasni to her first AOC hike, she would also join us for her second hike the same day at Morgan Falls! Hoping to see her at future events.
