What a discovery!  John scouted out this trail a few weeks ago, and saw the potential for a grand double hike both here and at Pine Log Creek, just 6 miles away.  Today, we hiked the Chestnut Trail there and found it to be an amazingly hiker-friendly park.  The trails are beautifully maintained, the bathroom is clean, and the pavilion is perfect for an after-hike rest. We covered only 5 miles of the trails today, leaving at least that many more to discover on another hike. After the hike, we gathered for a picnic lunch in the pavilion before saying good-bye to some folks and traveling with others to the second hike at Pine Log Creek.  This park is certain to become a favorite with AOC folks! ~ Joyce
