Write Up:We had a fine time with our friendly "walk & talk" hosts and other gardening buffs at GA Perimeter College's lovely Botanical Garden at this "prime time" of the year for spring color. Native plants expert Karen Lindauer escorted us on a leisurely guided walk through her favorite parts of the garden, pointing out gorgeous native specimens including rare yellow lady slippers, jack-in-the-pulpits, native orange and pink azaleas and a wide variety of ferns. The "talk" half of the program was likewise excellent, with renowned naturalist Eddi Minche presenting a colorful slide show about the importance of bees and other pollinators and how to attract them to our own yards by planting appropriate flowering plants.
