We all enjoyed a wonderful hike on a hot, muggy afternoon at Island Ford.  For many members, this was their first AOC event, other than the monthly social.  We extend a very warm welcome to Fain, Romy, Eileen, Marleen, Linda, Kate, Cynthia, Brian, and Jessica on their very first hike with the AOC. 

Although it was a muggy afternoon, we felt some relief from the sweltering heat as we descended into the cool forest shade.  We savored the companionship and conversation of one another as we made our way along Beech Creek and back along the Chattahoochee.  We stopped for a few photo ops along the rocks and caves of the trail.

All in all, it was an afternoon well spent.  A special thanks goes to Jimmy who willingly agreed to serve as adjunct sweep on his 300th AOC event.  Looking forward to seeing all of you again on the trails soon.
