Nineteen of us enjoyed a beautiful trip down the Chestatee river on Saturday morning. The sun was out and we had a nice break halfway down at “Big BendBeach.” We even acquired an extra tagalong paddler who had never been down the river and decided to follow our group (like it or not!).

Three of our group members were new to the AOC, and we also had a few folks who had never kayaked before, but everyone did a great job and there were lots of smiles on the few small rapids we paddled along the way.  After finishing our trip, some of us stopped for a delicious lunch at Big D’s Barbeque on the way back.  Until next time!
