The air was still cool as we started our 8 am Memorial Day hike at Island Ford.  Driving to the park and parking were no problem at all.  As the hike progressed, the temperature rose and the trails became more crowded, but those minor impediments didn't slow us down a step.  We finished the 5 mile route in just over an hour and a half.  What a festive beginning to a special day. ~ Joyce
