We had a great group this evening, 16 very enthusiastic hikers!  Joyce led the hike and I swept up the dawdlers.  Just kidding!  We were able to get in 3 miles at a steady pace before the rumbles of thunder sounded too close for comfort for some.  The woods were beautiful in their fresh greenery and sprinkling of wild flowers.  The large king snake that we came across thought so too, and was out for an evening crawl [slither?].  We saw two of the resident Great Blue Herons and a few mallards in the water, ran into a couple of runners, passed a pack of well-mannered dogs, and pestered one fisherman.  Spring is in the air with summer quickly approaching.  Thanks for everyone’s energy and support. ~ Beth
