What an impressive group we had today at Island Ford!  Seventeen of us moved our feet rapidly enough to turn what was supposed to be a D2 hike into a bona-fide D3!  We covered 6 miles in just under 2 hours, with over 1,100 feet of ascent.  No one complained, and we rewarded ourselves with lunch afterward at the North River Tavern.
