It was a great afternoon to be hiking, and it was a wonderful group to be hiking with!  We followed the plan of starting promptly at 4 pm and covering 8 miles.  We had a brand new member - - Kelli - - who did amazingly well on her very first AOC event. (Welcome to the club, Kelli!) Parking was ample, the weather was warm but not uncomfortable, a breeze could be felt now and then, and the trails were relatively dry. And as hard as I tried, I couldn't leave anyone behind!  (Libby would have done a better job of losing folks had she been leading!)  What a fit group!

Libby borrowed my camera to take some shots from the sweeper's perspective, so we got pictures from the front and the back.
