The weather was perfect for our Twilight Kayaking event on the Chestatee Saturday evening.  Twenty five of us, including two folks on their first AOC event (Welcome!) enjoyed a relaxing paddle down the river as the sun slowly descended. We saw a Great Blue Heron and a Kingfisher, plus beautiful evening skies.  The “Super Moon” didn’t make an appearance until after we were off the river, but we did get to see it later and it was stunning!

As usual, we took a break at Big BendBeach about halfway down to have a snack and play in the water.  Chris Hill lead about half of our group in floating down the chute and then we continued on our way. Afterwards fifteen of us continued on to the Crimson Moon in Dahlonega, arriving too late for dinner but enjoying some dessert instead before heading home.
