Dear Ann and Ralph,

You will be more than pleased when you return from Yellowstone to take back the Oxbo Vickery Creek hikes you put in my care.  The hike has a strong core of regulars who are becoming more capable each week.  It won't be long before I'm not able to keep up with them!  And we consistently add a few new faces each week.  Although not at all new to the AOC, Aaron R. was on tonight's hike - - his first time at Vickery Creek!  Allston and Fernando were also new faces to the group. 

Susan F. did her usual wonderful  "honorary trip leader" job of taking us through the trails at a fast pace, so that we covered almost 5 miles before some dark clouds and sprinkles scared us off the trails. Maybe I'll soon learn the trails well enough to hike them without Susan's help.  :-)  And Deb was a big help as sweep, making sure no one was left behind.  

I tried my best to scare the folks behind me by swinging my arms behind my back as Ralph does when he's in high gear.  It didn't phase them a bit.  I just couldn't lose a single person!
