The day began with beautiful sunshine that quickly built into clothes-drenching heat.  Larry kept up a brisk pace with few stops along the way, so that we were grateful to stop for lunch and a rest at the Len Foote Inn.  We caught some rain showers as we hiked the Approach Trail back to the parking lot, but they helped ease the heat, for which we were grateful.  The group stayed together well, making for a good 11-mile hike.  ~ Joyce
