This was a make-up day for the folks who needed to hike the first section of the GA Appalacian Trail to earn their 80 mile patches. Others joined the group, to enjoy the hike in the sunny, beautiful weather. The trail was busy with lots of people getting out for the day. Thanks to four "fleet feet" folks on the hike (Sherry, Lakshman, Sam, and Victor) the rest of the group didn't have to wait at all for the shuttle. We played for a half hour at the cemetery and were greeted by the shuttle cars shortly after we finished the hike.

Adding a final bit of excitement to the day was Lakshman's tire incident on the gravel road from the parking lot. Luckily, we had 4 men to handle the tire change, while we four ladies took pictures and watched in amusement.  ~  Joyce
