Sat, Dec 6 2014 - Full Moon Night Hike (View Original Event Details)
|
Well, the moon didn’t look like the picture, but it did make an appearance! The drizzle moved out and the breezes rolled in, pushing the clouds around, just in time for our evening hike. Even though we had a few twisted ankles and a couple of relatively minor falls (Deb would probably disagree) we finished the 6.25 mile hike in the allotted time frame. I think everyone had an enjoyable hike (for the most part).
My co-lead on the hike was Ron S. This was his first co-lead as a PTL as he begins his journey to becoming a full-fledged, gold star carrying trip leader. He did a fine job and will make a wonderful addition to the AOC repertoire of trip leaders.
The last segment down the White Tail Trail to the water’s edge was a gorgeous way to end the evening. Thanks to everyone who joined me. I hope to lead more night hikes and share this beautiful way to enjoy the great outdoors with more people.
