Sun, Dec 14 2014 - Sunday Morning at Gold Branch (View Original Event Details)
|
We had a large group out on a sunny winter Sunday morning at Gold Branch. We covered 5.5 miles in 2 hours and hiked every trail in the park at least once except for the real rugged part near the rock overhang. It is so nice to hike this trail in winter time because of the increased visibility. I love to see “wildlife” and my highlights were several small woodpeckers and a pair of mallard ducks.
This was my first time officially leading a hike as co-lead … (thanks, Joyce, for sweeping and giving me this opportunity). I think we all had fun and got a good workout even though Eric, Matthew and Joel kept pushing me to go faster. ~ RonS
