My last posted hike for the year was a fine one, with lots of regulars and some less-seen members (Bill B., Chad, and Jenelle). We enjoyed each other's company as we briskly made our way through the park, stopping to catch a glimpse of a heron awaiting a catch from a fly fisherman and to take a photo of a road-kill (trail-kill?) squirrel. Fourteen of us gathered after the hike to enjoy our last burger specials for the year at the North River Tavern. . . a nice ending to a delightful event.  ~  Joyce
