Write Up:We had a ball ringing in 2015 as guests of more than 200 of our “Hash House Harrier” friends. Their 26th annual running of the “Cheddarhead” began with an adventurous 4-mile hike/jog during which we “harriers” helped one another stay on the flour-splotched trail laid by a volunteer “hare.” This year's trail took us across the Chattahoochee River bridge just south of Roswell, then westward along the lake by Azalea Drive and through a variety of woodlands, fields and neighborhoods.
Our reward at the trail’s end was a festive “On-In Party” at the nice clubhouse pool area of one of the veteran hashers - complete with a blazing fire. We enjoyed delicious all-you-can-eat Wisconsin-style food & refreshments and much friendly socializing. The event’s founder, Wisconsin native “Public Enema,” did his usual masterful job overseeing the ritual singing and “down-downs” - also presenting Wisconsin cheeses and chocolates as door prizes - all with “ZERO fiber” of course! :>)
Thanks to my fellow AOCers for joining me in song, thanking our our hardworking AH4 hares and hosts with our rendition of "Jingle Balls - a Cheddarhead uncarol"!
