We earned our lunch today! We took the trails at a fairly fast clip, covering 6 miles in under two hours. This group of "steadies" is phenomenal. . . stronger and stronger each week. Our familiar heron was visible on the river when we started our hike, and was still patiently awaiting a fish when we finished. We passed a solemn tree full of buzzards and a piliated woodpecker today, making for some interesting sights. ~ Joyce
