The blue-sky mid-50s weather could hardly have been more perfect for a January dayhike, and our friendly group had a fine time together on this adventurous 2-1/2 hour outing.  Along the way we hiked more than a dozen different wooded trails and enjoyed fine views of lakes, waterfalls, old mill ruins, beautiful native trees and colorful understory plants.   We saw dozens of big Canada Geese swimming on Candler Lake but didn't catch a view this time of the usual Great Blue Heron.  It was fun having several new, almost new and "recycled" :-) members among us, and we hope to see y'all again often in the future!
