They say some of the best views in the Southeast can be found at Table Rock State park in South Carolina and this is your chance to see for yourself! We’ll begin our hike at the nature center and follow part of the Carrick Creek Trail to the Table Rock Trail which will take us up Governor’s Rock. We have not included the Pinnacle Mountain Trail to make this more accessible to D4 hikers, but make no mistake; you’ll still be earning the view as you’ll have a 1,964’ elevation gain to reach the overlooks. About halfway up we’ll take a short break at the trailside shelter (built by the CCC). From Governor’s Rock it is just a short hike to the second overlook on Table Rock and it is there we will eat our lunch and hang out. We will then head back the same way we hiked up.

*There is a $5.00 fee per person for parking. Please bring cash for your carpool and the entrance fee.

Required Items to Bring:

Plenty of water

Sunscreen

Lunch (for on top of the mountain) and snacks

Poncho or rain gear (just in case)

It is $5.00 per person to get into the Park. Please bring $5 cash + money for the carpool

From the Indian Trail Park and Ride: Start out going north on I-85 N / GA-403 N. Keep left to take I-85 N / GA-403 N toward Greenville. Keep right to take I-85 N toward Greenville (Crossing into South Carolina). Take the SC-11 exit, EXIT 1, toward Walhalla / Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway / Westminster. Turn left onto S Highway 11 / SC-11. Continue to follow SC-11. Turn left onto Table Rock State Park Rd.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $109.20 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
