Join us for a no rush hike and swim from Springer Mountain parking lot ( FR 42 ) to Long Creek Falls where we take a long break (1.5 hours) for lunch and swim.

We start from Springer Mountain Parking lot using appalachian trail headed North east, on the way there we pass thru Benton Mc Kaye Trail, visit Stover Creek Shelter, Stover creek and again passing Benton Mc Kaye and then three forks where we take a short break to cool off by the water, we then continue one mile to long Creek Falls where we take a long break to have lunch and get in the water. We then backtrack to to Springer mountain parking lot. (There is an optional .9 miles up to top of Springer mountain elevation 3782', this is the southern terminus of appalachian trail, this is also a very rocky trail so this section will add 1.8 miles to the hike round trip.)

Please note: This is neither a fitness hike, nor rush up and dawn hike, so if you are in rush to get back home please do not sign for this hike.

There is an optional dinner at Thai Resturant in Dawsonville area, so please carpool accordingly.
