BACK AT HUDSON GRILLE BY POPULAR DEMAND! TUESDAY! DRINK SPECIALS! Let's start 2016 off right with a mix and mingle at Hudson Grille. Join the Atlanta Outdoor Club for our January social on TUESDAY, January 12th starting at 7:00 pm. You’ll have the chance to meet many of the wonderful folks from the 2016 Management Team. We’ll meet in our own private reserved room (the Game Room) at Hudson Grille. We'll also have a private bar and bartender just for AOC members. The Game Room offers billiards, ping pong, darts, shuffle board, air hockey, and more! Parking is a breeze, with hundreds of spaces available in the parking lot. *** Have any gently used backpacks or suitcases? Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) and Northside Hospital are collecting backpacks and suitcases for foster children in Georgia as part of the 14th annual totes 2 tots suitcase drive. More than 11,600 children, from infants to teenagers, are currently in the foster care system in Georgia. Many of these children shuffle their belongings in garbage bags when they are removed from their homes. Since totes 2 tots was launched in 2003, the annual volunteer event has collected and distributed more than 41,000 bags. totes 2 tots was originally held on Martin Luther King Day as a way to honor Dr. King's vision of philanthropy and give back to the community. The event is now held on the preceding Thursday, Friday and Saturday to kick-off a weekend of service in Dr. King's honor. *** https://www.gacancer.com/articles/view/480-northside-hospital-and-georgia-cancer-specialists-partner-to-collect-suitcases-for-georgia-foster-kids If this will be one of your first events, ask your greeters to introduce you to one of our current trip leaders. They’ll be able to tell you about some of their own upcoming outdoor events. Location: 6317 Roswell Road Sandy Springs, GA 30328 Parking is free and plenty of it! In addition to our numerous outdoor events such as hiking, backpacking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, caving, etc., the Atlanta Outdoor Club holds a monthly social gathering. This month we will be meeting at Hudson Grille in Sandy Springs. Look for our sign-in table and make sure to fill out a name tag so that you can be properly introduced to the AOC! This is a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow club members in a casual setting. Come for a drink, or enjoy one of the excellent menu selections from Hudson Grille. The social begins at 7:00pm, but if you arrive early, grab a drink at the main bar while you wait. After 7 pm, our dedicated wait staff will be available in our reserved room to take your drink and food orders. If you can't make it by 7 pm, just come when you can. We'll be going until 10 pm. When you arrive, make a left to join us in the game room. AOC t-shirts - S-XL for $10 each - will be available for sale at the social. Cash or check only, please. 6317 Roswell Road Sandy Springs, GA 30328 From I-285 and Roswell Road, go north one mile. 6317 ROSWELL RD NE is on the right, in the former Marshall's Plaza (there is now a blank sign where "Marshall's" used to be). Hudson Grille is just past the Sandy Springs Plaza shopping center (Trader Joe's).
