Itinerary:

Hi fellow adventurers, join us for a relaxing climb, geared towards teaching the basics of climbing. Never climbed before?  No worries. Want to learn how to belay? Stone Summit has got you covered. Prefer bouldering over climbing? Anything goes! For this event, some may be trying out climbing for the first time while others are advancing their climbing skills.

If you have never climbed at Stone Summit, you will have to sign a new waiver. There are touch-screen kiosks when you walk in.  Simply register yourself at the kiosks (takes about 5 minutes). You will also receive a mandatory safety briefing from their awesome staff.

We have listed this as a D2, simply because participants need to be in reasonably good shape to participate in this event. The cost is 10 dollars to be paid that night to Stone Summit. This includes all gear needed to participate in this event.

The only way to qualify for the $10 discount is to be signed up for the event. There will be a name sheet at the front desk. The staff will use this list to check you in. Then please come find us, Erica or John, we will most likely congregate at the LEFT area of the climbing floor once you walk in.  I am in the picture wearing the AOC shirt. Also you may text Erica if you cannot find us. 

The event will last approximately 2 hours, but you can stay longer or leave whenever you wish. If you prefer to bring a buddy and do technical lead-climbing on your own, no problem just find us and let us know you've checked in. If you're into bouldering and want to do just that, have at it!!

It can very busy in the evenings so there is occasionally waiting involved...but you'll get some good climbs in.  We will stick around until everyone has gotten their climbing fix. :)


Required Items to Bring:

Wear clothes geared towards working out.  No baggy shirts or baggy pants that can snag on things. Some people wear shorts but you might scuff your knees if you're new to climbing.  

Your own climbing shoes / harness (if you have them)

Stone Summit will provide climbing shoes and a harness (they will hold your driver's license until you return the equipment).  This is included in the $10 price.

Notes:

Stone Summit has locker rooms if you need to change before / after this event and store large, bulky stuff.  There are also small cubbies in the open climbing area for putting away smaller items, such as shoes or a small bag.
