This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Join us for a 9 mile loop hike in Atlanta with lunch at the Ponce City Market Central Food Hall.

We will visit Piedmont Park, the Eastside Trail, Ponce City Market, interim Eastside Trail, Krog Tunnel, King Center, Fourth Ward Park, and complete the hike back at the 14th Street and Piedmont Avenue park entrance. We will hike as a group at a moderate pace.

Our only long stop will be for lunch at the Ponce City Market at around 11 am.

We will meet promptly at 10:30 am at the 14th Street gate in Piedmont Park. This gate can be found at the intersection of Piedmont Road and 14th Street.

Please give yourself plenty of time to get here as it can take some time to park.

Paid parking may be available at the SAGE parking garage inside Piedmont Park.

Coming from the north of Midtown on I- 75 southbound: • Take EXIT 250 (10th St., 14th St. & 16th St.) 0.4mi • Stay left on ramp toward 14th/10th St. 0.6mi • Turn LEFT onto 10th St -travel east until 10th ends at Monroe Dr. 1.3mi • Turn LEFT at MONROE DR-travel to the 3rd traffic light 0.6mi • Turn LEFT into the SAGE parking facility that serves Piedmont Park .

Coming from North of Midtown on Interstate 85 southbound: • Take EXIT 84 (10th St. & 14th St.) • Turn LEFT at 10th - travel east until 10th dead ends at Monroe Dr. 1.3mi • Turn LEFT at MONROE DR-travel to the 3rd traffic light 0.6mi • Turn LEFT into the SAGE parking facility that serves Piedmont Park

Coming from North of Midtown on Hwy. 400: • Take EXIT for I-85 Southbound where Hwy 400 comes to an end 2.2mi • Take EXIT 84 (10th St. & 14th St.) • Turn LEFT at 10th St. -travel east until 10th dead ends at Monroe Dr. 1.3mi • Turn LEFT at MONROE DR-travel to the 3rd traffic light 0.6mi • Turn LEFT into the SAGE parking facility that serves Piedmont Park
