Itinerary:

I hope you'll join me as we hike the wonderful trails at East Palisades.  We'll be parking at the Indian Trail entrance and plan to hike 7 to 8 miles. This is a beautiful trail with lots of interesting things to see including: a cave, bamboo forest, and views of the whitewater section of the Chattahoochee. I hope you will join me for this Memorial Day hike!    Please remember to bring $3 cash for the National Park Service parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass. 1425 Indian Trail NW, Sandy Springs, Ga 30327


Required Items to Bring:

Water, hiking or athletic shoes, and  snacks.  

Recommended Items to Bring:

Poles are helpful for a few of the steep ascents and descents, if you like to use them.

From eastbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, and Powers Ferry Road.
  • Right on Northside Drive to Powers Ferry Road.
  • Go through Intersection at Powers Ferry Road and 1.1 Miles to Indian Trail.
  • Right On Indian Trail and will dead end at the unit's entrance.

From westbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, and Powers Ferry Road.
  • Straight to the second traffic light.
  • Left onto Northside Drive to Powers Ferry Road.
  • Go through the intersection at Powers Ferry and 1.1 miles to Indian Trail.
  • Right on Indian Trail and will dead end at the unit's entrance

Notes:

Remember to bring $3.00 cash for a parking pass, unless you have an annual pass.

No restrooms at this location, but trees are abundant.
