Itinerary:

 

Come enjoy a nice hike up the various hills of Sope Creek. The route we take will be 6 miles and take around 2 hrs. This will be a harder D2 as I plan on taking some of the steeper hills found in the park but will still make sure to hit the more scenic areas. Please also be aware that many of the trails that we will be taking are shared with mountain bikers.

 

I am currently in the process of recoverying from knee and ankle problems so this hike will be at a reasonable pace of 2.5 - 3 mph.  If you are worried about joining this hike because you have heard I lead high speed death marches don't be as this one will not be focused on going as fast as humanly possible. With that being said do bring a good attitude and some water.  My preference is to have limited stops by keeping a consistent comfortable speed.

 

There is a $3 parking fee payable with cash unless you already have an annual pass.

Additionally if it is raining don't bother calling to see if it is still on. The answer is yes it is. Finally we will be leaving on time and you should be there a few minutes early. If you are late we will not be waiting and the nature of the event makes it very difficult for you to catch up or find us.

 

 

If you bring a dog, park rules say that they must be on a leash.
