Itinerary:

We just never get tired of hiking at Vickery Creek.  It offers so much with a variety of trails, beautiful views of the water along the creeks and at the dam, and occasional glimpses of wildlife.  We'll keep a moderate pace through the trails on this one, with pauses for water and catching our breath when needed.

The trail is not entirely easy.  There are some hills as well as trails with roots and rocks  But with a moderate pace, it will be manageable for folks who have been handling D1 hikes or easierr D2's.

We will start on time (2 pm)! Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in and do intros. There is a bathroom at this location, so allow an extra 5 minutes to use the facility before we start. 

We'll be meeting at the trailhead off of Riverside Road - - the "official" entrance of the CNRA.  This parking lot requires a $3 parking fee if you don't have an annual pass.  An optional parking area is Riverside Park, across the street from the CNRA entrance.  There are bathrooms at the Riverside lot (though none at the CNRA parking area).

Fluids, good hiking shoes/boots

From Northbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 6 for Northridge Road 
Stay RIGHT onto Northridge Road crossing bridge 
Take first RIGHT onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles 
Turn RIGHT at Ga. 9 (Roswell Road), go 0.6 miles 
Cross river turn RIGHT onto Riverside Road, cross the bridge and make an immediate left onto the entrance road. 

From Southbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 7 for Ga. 140 (Holcomb Bridge Road) 
Turn RIGHT onto Ga. 140 East (Holcomb Bridge Road), go 0.2 mile 
Turn LEFT at Dogwood Road, go 1.0 miles 
Continue STRAIGHT on Riverside Road, go 1.0 mile 
Turn RIGHT at park entrance - - just before crossing the bridge at Atlanta Road.
