Itinerary:

Sweetwater Creek Park in Lithia Springs Georgia is an awesome trail. It is one of the most visited state parks in all of Georgia and is also one of my favorite parks to hike. I have hiked these trail many times, and find the trails to be some of the best trails in Georgia's State Parks. Absolutely Beautiful!  

In order to give people different difficulty options for the event, I have listed a couple of optional parts to the hike.  

For this event, it is a hike with options. We will start at the visitors center and hike thru the white trail and part of the red trail for 7 miles for the d3, and back to the vistors center. 

Level Up

For anyone who wants to stop at 7 miles that will complete the D3 option.  For those who would like to continue,  we will add 3 more miles for a d4  hike and/or 6 more miles for a d5 (with more elevation to the hike). The extra miles are optional and you can opt out when you would like. 

We will be maintaining a steady and moderate pace with few breaks.  

Be ready to have fun and enjoy one of the best state parks in Georgia!

If you plan to hike extra, allow an extra hour for every 3 miles that you plan to hike (D3 is 7 miles 2 1/2 hrs , D4 10 miles 3 1/2 hrs , D5 13 miles 4 1/2 hrs).

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Take I-20 west to exit 44 (Thornton Road). Make a left on Thornton Road (South) and then a right onto Blairs Bridge Road. Travel 2.1 miles to Mount Vernon Road and make a left. Drive about one mile to the park entrance and make a left on Factory Shoals Road. Drive about half a mile to the parking lot near the visitor's center.
