Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue. This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.
Itinerary: | |||||
Ranger Jerry Hightower is hosting the Wolf Moon Gathering at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center. This will be a great opportunity to meet with outher outdoor enthusiasts and learn of opportunities to give back to our environmantal and park systems. The invite reads: Gather with friends, old and new, forgood food, good conversation, and good companionship. Gather and enjoy the warmth of the great room fireplace,the campfire by the lake and the spirit of the Wolf Moon. Although there will be plenty of good food, you are welcome to bring a festive food item to share with others. Coffee, hot chocolate, water, hot apple cider and lemonade will be provided - you are welcome to bring your own beverage
Many AOCers know Jerry, for those who don't, he is an extremely knowledgeable interpreter and advocate for our environmental systems. He hosts many environmental outtings and learning opportunities throughout the year (paddles, hikes, etc.). All I have attended have been very well done. This is a great opportunity to learn about upcoming programs and events as well as an opportunity to network and share with others. We'll meet at the Environmental Center, 6:30ish
