Itinerary:
We will do two loops, walking parts of the White, Red and Blue loops and all of the Brand house trail, for a total walking distance of about 8 miles. Total walking time: about 4 hours. The rest of the time will be spent driving to the site and having lunch.

    Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $17.20 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

    Notes:
    Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site is one of the best preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation. The terrain today closely resemble the dense woods described in 1864. The site contains a steep ravine, Pickett's Mill Creek, the mill ruins, and several miles of well-marked hiking trails.

    Cost Includes:Please share gas expenses with carpool drivers. Admission to the site is $3.00 per person.
