Itinerary:

Please join me for an exploratory hike of the Dauset Trails. I have never been and it is on my list of trails to visit this summer. There are three recommended routes and I have chosen the intermediate route at 11 1/2 miles. I have allotted 4 1/2 hours for hike, allowing for a couple quick water breaks. Some of the trails connect with Indian Springs State Park (another place I would like to explore). Classified as a D4 for the distance. Will keep a steady moderate pace, there is not much elevation at Dausett

We may be slightly over or under on time or mileage but I will try to hit that 4 1/2 hour mark as best I can. Pack plenty of water. There are hiking trails and biking trails, at times we may have to share trails with bikes.

From Atlanta Area:
-Take I-75 south to Exit 201 (Jackson/Barnesville)
-Turn left and follow Hwy 36 towards Jackson
-Travel several miles to "High Falls Rd." See signs for Dauset, High Falls, Indian Springs, and "Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm."
-Take a right at "High Falls Rd"
-Pass Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm on right
-About 2 miles after watch for our sign and take "Mt. Vernon Ch. Rd" on left
-Dauset Trails is 3.3 miles on left- 360 Mt. Vernon Rd
