Itinerary:
Join me for a Saturday morning hike at Island Ford! We will cover 5.5 miles by heading over to the river trail, adventure up a few of the back hills, we will hike the lollipop trail and then loop back around. We will stop to enjoy the scenery and hydrate, but expect to keep a steady pace throughout the hike.
 
We will meet at the Visitor’s Center which is located at the back of the park. Follow the road, passing two other parking lots on your left until the road dead ends to the Visitor’s Station all the way at the back of the park.  The Visitor’s Center will be open and restrooms will be available there. Prepare to come a few minutes early to pay the $3 parking fee or to purchase an annual pass at the Visitor’s Center for $35.
 
Dogs are welcome but must be on leash at all times in accordance with Chattahoochee NRA park rules.

How to Get There:

1906 Island Ford Pkwy, Sandy Springs, GA

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.
