Itinerary:

Murphey Candler Park has a pretty lake with a pretty pier that people use to fish or to feed the geese from. I've seen deer, rabbits and even goats at the park. The trails have almost no elevation, so it's quite easy for beginners. We will be doing 2 loops around the lake. But to get our 4 miles in, we will have to walk across the street to the baseball fields and walk the path there a couple of times.

There are several parking lots at the park you can park at, but since we'll meet at the park sign on the south-west corner of the lake, try to park there if you can. The physical address for the park will be for the baseball fields. (See directions below or click the location icon above for the exact meeting spot.)

Small to medium-sized dogs are welcome. Beginner's are welcome.

Hiking shoes (it can be muddy if it's rained)

We will be meeting across the street (lake side) by the Murphey Candler park sign.

Driving and Parking Directions:

From I-285, get off on EXIT 29 Ashford- Dunwoody Road and head SOUTH

Go approximately 0.9 miles and turn LEFT onto W Nancy Creek Drive

Go approximately 0.4 miles and turn LEFT onto Candler Lake West

The parking lot will be on the RIGHT. This is where we will meet to begin our hike.
