Itinerary:

Please join us for a quick weekend hike that's close to home. We'll do the 5.8 mile Mountain Loop at Kennesaw Mountain, starting and ending at the visitors center. We'll cross the mountain at the beginning, getting the hardest part out of the way early, and then glide home on the fire (Camp Brumby) trail that winds around the mountain.

This event is rated a D2, but it's definitely a hard D2. Elevation gain will probably be close to 1,000 feet, and our moving pace will be brisk at just under 3 mph on average. We'll try to stay together on the hike -- this is not a go-at-your-own-pace event.

We'll meet at the Kennesaw Mountain Visitors Center, located at 900 Kennesaw Mountain Dr, Kennesaw, GA 30188. (The visitors center is near the intersection of Old Highway 41 NW and Stilesboro Road NW.) Please plan to arrive a little early in case the visitors center lot is full and you need to park at the overflow lot located a short distance away at 1200 Old Highway 41 NW.
