Itinerary:

Join me for my first SOLO event with the AOC as we light up the trails with a quick stepping hike that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates...we'll even see some nice elevation, as I take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" We might hit a coulple of the same paths but never in the same direction. Conditions have been a little sloppy, so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised.

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).

This is a fast hike along various trails at VC/CRNRA (in a top secret special direction) and we'll only be re-grouping at the top of the two bigger climbs. There are no formal stops planned since daylight is something we're racing. Sub 18 minute miles for sure, so if you haven't been on any FAST D3 hikes recently I may call to see if this if this is an appropriate hike for you. If you have to think about it - please wait a few weeks and we'll get you when we have a little more daylight to play with.
