Itinerary:

Let's enjoy a scenic hike along the river, then cool off with a swim. We will start our hike along the Chattooga River Trail at the parking lot at the US 76 bridge. From there, we'll cross the bridge and follow the trail up the Georgia side of the river. At approximately the 4 mile point, we'll reach a large camping spot right on the river with a nice place to eat lunch and a small sandy beach. A perfect opportunity for a midday dip in the river. After lunch and some splashing around, we'll retrace our steps back to the parking lot.

We can have a max of 2 well behaved dogs on the trip.

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking boots or shoes

at least 2 liters of water

Lunch and/or snacks

sunscreen and bug repellent

clothes and shoes for ride home

plastic bag for dirty boots/wet clothes
