Itinerary:

The trail starts near the parking lot and proceeds for about half a mile around the park until it crosses some railroad tracks and then an old bridge. We will then walk on parts of the white red and blue trails to form a loop inside a pine forest, between two creeks. Along the way we will see the ruins of the old Decatur waterworks, which were abandoned in the 1940's. We will then walk on the boardwalk, part of which was recently completed.

Event Directions:

From the intersection of North Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd. drive 0.3 miles south (i.e. towards downtown) on Clairmont Rd. Turn left on Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 0.1 mile to a stop sign. At the stop sign turn right. Turn left at the "Mason Mill Park" sign into the parking lot.

The address is: 1340 McConnell Drive, Decatur, GA 30033-3539. We will meet close to the parking lot entrance.

Sunset is at 8:50 pm. Twilight ends at 9:19 pm.

Notes:

Dogs must be on leash.
