Itinerary:

If you are a beginner and just getting started on your outdoor program, or an experienced hiker who just wants a peaceful evening stroll in the woods. This is a great little park that offers a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city, without having to drive to get out of the city. A fantastic new boardwalk over the wetlands has recently been built, opening up some areas previously inaccessible.

We will hike along several creeks and streams, through some floodplains, past the old Decatur waterworks, through pine and hardwood forests, while we make our way along many of the new and old trails. The hike will be approximately 3.5 - 4 miles in length on both improved as well as dirt trails, including the new boardwalk sections... so bring appropriate footwear with good traction.

From the intersection of North Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd. drive 0.3 miles south on Clairmont Rd. Turn left on Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 100 yards to the stop sign. At the stop sign turn right and continue for about 200 yards... the park entrace is on the left. We will meet at the restroom facility at the playground which will be on the right after entering the park.
