Itinerary:

There are 4 parks that are close to each other in Decatur - Mason Mill, Medlock, Ira B. Melton and Lullwater. Let's hike all 'em.

About the Trails:

Our hike will be a mix of concrete path, boarded path and wooded trails. We may cross a creek a couple of times. There will also be a couple of times that we'll be hiking across a narrow path with a 10-20 foot drop, so you may want to bring poles if you're not sure-footed.

Itinerary:

We'll begin our hike at Mason Mill Rec Center. We'll meet at the restrooms (near the playground) and leave promptly at 9.

We'll take the trail thru the woods from there to Melton Park. If the creek is low and safe enough to, we'll cross it and hike a loop thru Melton.

Back across the creek, we'll continue to Lullwater Park, located on the Emory campus. We'll go around the lake, cross the suspension bridge to the old tower and back.

Back at Mason Mill, we'll take the old boardwalk trail to Medlock Park, making a loop around the park. And then head back to Mason Mill to end our hike.

Who May Attend:

Beginner's are welcome. Small to medium-sized dogs are welcome. I'm limiting it to 3 dogs for this hike, so please also register them when you register yourself.

Hiking shoes or shoes with good traction
